The bamboo orchid, an ornamental plant today, was once recorded as close to extinction due to the destruction of its natural habitat, such as rainforests and mangrove forests here in Singapore. Thankfully, local park authorities here have diligently replanted the bamboo orchids. The species now lists it as a 'common' cultivated plant.
We draw inspiration from our community gardens, pepper with some imagination and string short narratives that complete the art piece like a page in a short story picture book. Who knows, maybe one day we might have enough short stories to beautifully curate the lives in our community gardens.
